Obituary of Ronald Gene Lenz

Ronald "Papa" Lenz, 85, of Renton, WA, passed away on August 26, 2023, after suffering a stroke.

Ronald was born in Hammond, Indiana to Andrew and Melba Lenz. He spent his childhood in Indiana and went on to attend college at Purdue University. After he graduated from Purdue University, he landed his first job as an electrical engineer at Boeing.

In 1963, Ronald married his wife, Irene Schilling of Nyssa Oregon, and went on to have two children. Their son Randy, born in 1965 and daughter Tiffany, born in 1968. Ronald put his family first and was a loving husband and dedicated father. His love for God and his family was the very foundation of his life. 

Ronald retired from Boeing after 35 years of service and went on to enjoy retirement with Irene as snowbirds traveling between Renton, Washington and Casa Grande, Arizona with their fifth wheel trailer and truck. Ronalds love for people meant that he never met a stranger. He and Irene enjoyed 15 seasons in Arizona together, making many friends and spending time relaxing.

Besides being a loving husband and father, Ronalds greatest joy in life was being Papa to his two granddaughters, Sara (22) and Kali (17)
