Obituary of Roger Wayne Davis

Roger Wayne Davis, 77 of Vale, Oregon passed away on July 30, 2023.  After a lengthy battle with COPD/EMPHYSEMA.  His loving family celebrated two beautiful days with him before he passed comfortably in his home.  This was the only celebration he wanted.  Family and friends traveled far to visit just overnight weeks previous.

Roger was born in Bismarck, North Dakota, on November 16, 1945.  He was raised in Eugene, Oregon most of his early years by his loving parents, Marcella and Gerald Davis.  Many of his working friends were in automotive.  That's where he met his wife Dianne!  He hired her as a mechanic apprentice.  I guess she worked out so he kept her!  44 years!  He then worked for the County Road Department in Vale where he retired after 25 years!  He loved fishing and hunting and mostly spending many hours enjoying his grandchildren and great-grandclhildren. The most awesome grampa.

He is survived by his wife Dianne of Vale, Oregon, daughters, Gina Davis of Venetia, Oregon, Lea Mallory of Central Point, Oregon, Mickey Patterson of Ontario, Oregon, and son Christopher Patterson of Pleasant View Tennessee.  Sisters, and brothers-in-law.  14 grand children and 10 great-grandchildren along with numerous Nieces and Nephews.  The oldest daughter Wendy Hays preceded him in death along with the oldest grand daughter Tabitha Tyrrell.  He will definitely be missed.

No service will be held per Roger's request.  His ashes are being spread along the shores of Windy Cove, Oregon.  Where many memories were made over the years.
