As I write this, I am transformed to my two short years in Weiser, Idaho in the late 50's. During that time, we had a wonderful group of young men in the ward who were very close. Four of us called ourselves "The four D's" - David, Dan (Norton), Dale Anderson and...Dahlquist. With Brad Roberts and Neil Zaugg, we had a wonderful experiences as young men just receiving the Aaronic Priesthood and beginning our Scouting Adventure. I can say, as I look on those years, that I was always so impressed with David's sweet, humble and kind spirit. He was a pure heart that has had an impact on me in the 60 years that have followed our move from our home in Weiser, Idaho and I have ever been grateful for David's example for me of how to live a Christ-like life - even as a very young man. As I listen to the funeral service, I am grateful that David continued that exemplary life and shared it with the youth of the Rising Generation through his service in the Church, including the wonderful Scouting program. May the Lord bless you, Lou, and your family richly with the knowledge that your separation from your sweet husband (and our friend) will be short and that the reunion will be sweet and everlasting. With love, Charles and Zella Dahlquist
