We are very sorry for the loss of Terry. He was a very caring and helpful man. There were many times at Lake Owyhee that he was there for us. I remember the first time I got to meet Terry. He and Jack came up when I called as there were people at the day use after dark and the park was closed. Dan was in Salem and I was there alone with our son. I had gone out on the deck to tell them they had to clear out and tried to sound like a guy. They weren't buying it so that is when I called Terry and Jack. They both came up immediately and cleared the park. I was so thankful . Another time Dan and our son had gone out to look for a lady and her kids that had been hiking in the tunnels. Dan and our son were out there searching for them and Dan had radio contact with Terry and Terry would relay to me what was going on. Terry got ahold of someone and sent out a snow machine to get Dan and our son back after they had found the lady and her kids. There was a time that I had come back from work and it had snowed terribly. Again Terry met Dan and went up and cleared the road by the dam so that we could get on up to where we lived above the day use. Terry had a sense of humor and a big heart. There were many more times he helped us whenever needed. I am sure he helped many people out many times. He never expected anything out of it. That was just the type of man he was. God Bless you Terry. You will be missed by many. Our prayers and thoughts are with Karen and his children. Know that he is always with you. Dan and T.C. Rau
