Obituary of Marlene Lively
Marlene Anne Lively, 74, of Council Idaho passed away after a long courageous battle with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia and Hemolytic Anemia on January 3, 2021 at St. Luke's in Boise with her daughter at her side. She was born 12/26/46 in Boise Idaho and was promptly adopted by her loving parents Isaac (Pug) and Nellie Robertson. She was raised on a ranch in Homet Creek and had many good memories growing up where. In 1962 she married Gene Auwen.
They had a daughter Sheila and we’re married until 1979 when they divorced. She was also married to Tim Cameron briefly in the eighties. Most importantly in 1991 she married Charles (Chuck) Lively and we're happily married until his death in 2019. She worked various jobs throughout her many years in Council. Her primary job was working for the City of Council, where she retired. She was also fond of her time delivering rural mail. She loved nature, huckleberry picking, mushroom hunting and feeding the birds, squirrels and other critters that frequented her yard. She was also crafty and spent a lot of time crocheting and knitting. She and her daughter spent a lot of time together between concerts, shopping, coast trips, celebrating holidays and most recently being there together thru her health problems.
She is survived by her daughter Sheila Gardner and Chuck’s children Charlie and his family of whom she considered the son she never could have and that was a rock for her after losing Chuck and Nathan and Rob. Her brother Roy (Mary) Alderson, some cousins and her dog Rocky. She was preceded in death by her parents Pug and Nellie, her husband Chuck and her son in law Mike.
She would want to thank Misti in Fruitland and the St Luke’s Oncology Department in Boise for all the wonderful care they gave her thru the years. Also a special thanks to Carol Kesler, Karen Hatfield, Gerry Bowman, Vianne Ritter, Amy Zie1inski, Lori and Doug *Herron and Paul Valcarce and many more I am probably forgetting who helped her to be able to stay in her home.
In lieu of flowers, a donation could be made to the Council Senior Center or the Council Ambulance, both of which she really appreciated. Due to covid concerns, Memorial services will be at a later date.
Arrangements by Thomason Funeral Home.
