I was sad to hear of Roger’s passing. I found out the day after his services. If I had known I would have been there. Gus and I went to his very first “junk” auction; he also did our auction when we sold our farm in Parma. He had a great way with the people and was good selling whether it was a private sale or charity. When we moved to Grand View he and crew and later Sam and crew always did the Lion’s Auction Annual fund raiser. He was a good friend and always made a point of visiting with us and after Gus died he would help me bid on stuff. I missed seeing him at the last few auctions but has left it in good shoes with Sam at the helm. He will be missed by everyone who had the privilege to know him and the Baker family. Linda
I always enjoyed going to his auctions forhe did an excellent job. For some reason he always singled me out in the crowd and said how are you today Donnie.
Roger’s ability to connect with people, large and small, was a gift. As an in-law, I enjoyed his humor and respect of family. He and Rosalie are remembered with warmth, both far and near, including the backwaters of Montana and Idaho. RIP.
shared his humor, family ties in both Montana and Idaho. ,
I’ve always felt great kinship to my cousins, the Bakers, even though our trails seldom crossed. I’ll remember Roger as respectful of our family and fun to be around.
