For over 100 years, the Lienkaemper Funeral Chapel has served the Ontario, Oregon, community with professional, compassionate care.
Our story begins in 1907 when the Peterson family, who owned a furniture store in Ontario, helped with funeral arrangements and sold caskets from the store’s basement. Over the years, the business has grown and had a number of owners, partnerships and names. Among them was our current namesake, the Lienkaemper family, who purchased the family funeral home with the mission of helping families in the Ontario community.
Our funeral home is an essential community partner, and our reputation reflects our years of service. Along with our sister location in Weiser, Idaho, we help Treasure Valley families connect, honor, and remember their loved ones.

- Care of your loved one until cremation is complete.
- Cremation process and return of ashes in a temporary urn.
- Consultation with responsible party for final arrangements.
- All the necessary permits and authorizations.
- Free self-service online obituary.
- Many other optional services available - including celebration of life event planning, traditional funeral service, on-site catering, scattering assistance, and more - at additional charge.

Immediate Burial Starting At

- Includes all of the essential services of the funeral director and staff;
- Removal of your loved one as well as transportation to the cemetery for burial (within a 30 mile radius of the funeral home).

They let us have the time we needed for our daughter so we could say our goodbyes. They also let me stay with her as long as I needed after we were done dressing her for her funeral. They didn't try to rush anything and we are grateful for that.

What a good experience in a trying time. And, even when I thought we were done, Lienkaemper staff stayed in contact with me, offered support, both practical and emotional. Lovely group of caring people. They will take good care of you!
