Ellen F. King

Our loving mother Ellen Florence King passed away peacefully on January 8th 2018. Ellen was born in Salt Lake City Utah on July 2nd 1923, to Byron and Florence Bybee. Ellen was raised in Roy Utah and Hansen Idaho before moving to Ontario, Oregon. She fell in love with her husband of 61 years, Lawern Ray King while attending Ontario High School. The couple was happily married on November 10, 1942 in Payette Idaho and sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City temple in 1943. The couple raised their family as they farmed and ranched in Ontario. As a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints she served with all her heart and had a true adoration for life. She was a woman of great faith and always looked forward to the next adventure. Ellen was a loving mother and grandmother, a hard worker, and an excellent seamstress who endlessly used her talents and abilities to serve others.

Ellen is survived by her three children, Penny (Dewane) Rooks; Brent (Pauline) King; and Karla (Bob) Autrey; 11 grandchildren; and 34 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday January 17th, at 10 AM, at the Payette Idaho LDS church. A viewing will be held at the Payette LDS Church from 6-8 PM on Monday January 15th. Ellen will forever be cherished and remembered by all who knew her. Though she will be missed by those left behind we know with certainty that she has found warmth in the embrace of her late Husband, sweet baby boy and other dear family members.

Arrangements and Services under the direction of Thomason Funeral Home.

Penny, Brent, and Karla and families,
Wish we could be at the service for Aunt Ellen. We loved her and Uncle Lawren immensely. I will never forget them. They were such a big part of my life growing up and such great friends to Mom and Dad. I am so glad you got to enjoy your mother for so long. That doesn’t happen to all of us. Our prayers are with you all.

Condolences
