For over 100 years, the Lienkaemper Funeral Chapel has served the Ontario, Oregon, community with professional, compassionate care.
Our story begins in 1907 when the Peterson family, who owned a furniture store in Ontario, helped with funeral arrangements and sold caskets from the store’s basement. Over the years, the business has grown and had a number of owners, partnerships and names. Among them was our current namesake, the Lienkaemper family, who purchased the family funeral home with the mission of helping families in the Ontario community.
Our funeral home is an essential community partner, and our reputation reflects our years of service. Along with our sister location in Weiser, Idaho, we help Treasure Valley families connect, honor, and remember their loved ones.

- Includes all of the essential services of the funeral director and staff.
- Removal and transportation of your loved one to the funeral home (within a 30 mile radius of the funeral home).
- Care of your loved one until cremation is complete.
- Cremation process and return of ashes.
- Consultation with responsible party for final arrangements.
- All the necessary permits and authorizations.
- Free self-service online obituary.
- Many other optional services available - including celebration of life event planning, traditional funeral service, on-site catering, scattering assistance, and more - at additional charge.

Burial Services Starting At

- Includes all of the essential services of the funeral director and staff;

Their professionalism, and their incredible understanding of their business and their customer is stellar. There is no way I can fully thank Roland and Carrie as they were constantly there for me in my grief and confusion with the entire process. I did not have a loved one here but I wish I had. My daughter passed and I don't live in town or anything. It is an awful thing. Not knowing where my daughter was I called Lienkaemper, as one of only 2 funeral homes in Ontario, knowing that she had been brought to one of them. They said they did not have my child in their care but gave me information on how to find her. I did find her at Haren-Wood. But the next day, the kind gentleman I talked to at Lienkaemper, called me to make sure I found my daughter and offered any help he could provide. For no reason, he was just being kind, at the worst moment of my life and the tragic end of my daughters, this man was just being genuinely kind. Thank you
